PUNONG BARANGAY RALPH O. ABELLA ACTS ON FLOOD PROBLEM

Last April 5, 2011 a heavy downpour of rain submerged to waist-deep water some of the residences of the three subdivisions namely Sto. Domingo I, Donnasville of Brgy. Vicente Hizon Sr. and DA Homes of Brgy. Pampanga. Early morning of the following day, Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella and Committee on Infra and Transportation Kagawad Eufracio "Boy” Uy made an ocular inspection at the area, took pictures and find out the reason behind the flooding.

They found out that the main concrete canal at DA Homes catching all the waters from Sto. Domingo and Donnasville Subdivision were clogged up with debris like mud, sand, garbage and even grasses that had already grown up.

On April 17, 2011,  Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella sent his own personal heavy equipments to DA Homes  composed of a Backhoe, 10 wheeler Dumptruck and a small elf dumptruck. At around 8:00 a.m. under the supervision of Kagawad Boy Uy, the heavy equipments began scouring the area, getting all the debris that hindered the smooth flow of water. The heavy equipments also spread the spoiled soil and rubbish taken out of the canals. Present also during the operation were Kagawad Quiamco of Brgy. Pampanga and the President of DA Homes Mr. Arnold De Lara. The operations lasted for almost 10 hours that ended up to around 6:00p.m.

The Association Presidents of Sto. Domingo I, Donnasville and DA Homes contributed for the fuel of the heavy equipments. Another "Bayanihan” happened during the day that really transformed something into a great feat like "moving a mountain" and residents were very grateful and hopeful that flooding incident is already a thing in the past. With all our sincere and honest intentions we fervently pray to the Lord to hear our prayers. Sec Red
