The Ladies of Charity-Davao Chapter sponsored a medical mission conducted by Southern California Far Eastern University Alumni at Barangay Vicente Hizon Sr. last February 21, 2012.

The group was headed by Mrs. Leticia Pichon Militante with members numbering about 45 ladies.

Southern California Far Eastern University Alumni on the other hand, is composed of Dr. Pedro Lagrosa, Dr. Olga Ginsburg, Dr. Cherie Garcia, Chat Dino (RN) and Carmelita Hilario (RN). They came all the way from the United States to conduct a series of humanitarian missions to the people of the different barangays.

The activities done by the medical mission and sponsoring group started with a registration of patients, then consultation, prescribed and at the same time, gave away free medicines for arthritis, diabetes, skin diseases and hypertension.  

The activity was spearheaded by Kagawad Erico R. Talili, Chairman of the Committee on Health and Social Services together with the Volunteer Health Workers headed by Ms. Emily Villagonzalo, RN.

The Punong Barangay, Ralph O. Abella together with the rest of the Council Members was very grateful to the medical team as well as the sponsoring group for undertaking such act of magnanimity to help the people of this barangay. Sec Red
