The Barangay Council, through the initiative of Kagawad Erico R. Talili, Committee Chairman of Social Services initiated the information dissemination campaign on the principles of the human rights of women known as the Magna Carta for Women by virtue of RA 9710 through a one day seminar last August 15, 2013.

This was attended mostly by members of the Barangay Council for women who are considered as the frontrunners in every Purok that can spread the words like wildfire.

The invited speakers came from IGDD in the person of Ms. Imelda R. Vismanos who took charge of the morning session and Ms. Janice Pinky B. Aragon in the afternoon session.

The participants were all treated to a morning and afternoon snacks, as well as lunch to keep them intact and avoid the inconvenience of going home.

Both speakers were given a certificate of appreciation for elucidating every provision embodied in the Magna Carta for Women.
