Punong Barangay Ralph O Abella celebrates his 55th birthday, July 15, 2011 which started with a surprise from the the council members, staff and functionaries.

The punong barangay arrived at the barangay hall at around 8:30 a.m. with only the secretary and the treasurer manning the office. "Where are the others?" he asked the Secretary. "They are all heading to your residence boss, to greet you on your birthday."

Going straight to his office it was a big surprise for him when the door of the session hall opens and everybody were gladly singing happy birthday songs. After the singing, the different groups presented their respective gifts to the celebrant, explaining the significance of each gift.  

At around 3:00 p.m., the final briefing and orientation to all functionaries on solid waste segregation by staff from CENRO  were also held that day and after the seminar everybody partook a very sumptuous meal prepared for the birthday occasion.

The whole family of the Punong Barangay were also present led by his wife City Councilor Marissa S. Abella and some friends. Also present were the staff of the councilor and the staff of R.O. Abella Brokerage who presented a cake with the image of a Rooster embossed as an icing.

While everybody were enjoying their meal, the recently concluded Araw Ng Barangay activities were also shown via LCD projector and partly some portion of the event that happened in the morning were the biggest surprise caught the Punong Barangay flat-footed.
