Brgy. Hizon on its 6th Founding Anniversary, July 9-11,2011,  launched its 1st AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST on March 15, 2011 and awarding ceremony last July 9, 2011. 

All pictures were taken anywhere in the barangay from March 15-June 30, 2011. The theme was focused on nature-landscape or a day in a village. We received 24 entries. Final judging was held last July 4, 2011 at the Barangay Hall, with Mr. Rene Lumawag, ex-prez. of Camera Club of Davao as the Chairman of the Board and members were Professional Photographer Mr. Norman Jadulang and an artist herself, Ms. Jeannette Ortiz.

The 1st Prize winner, Engr. Jeffer Jatico, received a Glass Trophy, Mobile Cellphone and a gift pack, while the 2nd and 3rd Prize Winners received a Glass Trophy and a Gift pack each.

This competition was sponsored by the Barangay Hizon Tourism Council, InsularVillage Phase 1 for the Glass Trophies, Sun Cellular for the Mobile Phone, Edstar Marketing for the Judges' tokens and RJ Homes for the gift packs.
