FREE CHOLESTEROL AND FBS SCREENING

The Barangay Vicente Hizon Sr. conducted a free Cholesterol and FBS screening last April 18, 2011 Monday, to all barangay functionaries, staffs and residents as well. This is in coordination with INVIDA PHILIPPINES, INC. and San Pedro College-Community Extension Service who sponsored the Cholesterol and Blood Sugar Screening, respectively. The screening started early at 6:45 a.m. because "patients” were advice not to take anything by mouth (Non-Per-Orem)  starting 12:00 midnight.

The program was a brainchild of the Chairman on Health Committee with no less than the flamboyant and indefatigable  Kagawad Erico R. Talili together with Mr. Ulysses S. Lopez. INVIDA PHILIPPINES, INC. were represented by med rep Ms. Larmee R. Mendoza and medtech Ms. Katherine L. Pastoral while SPC-Community Extension Service were  represented by Ms. Vanessa Lee and Ms. Marilyn U. Garzon both medical technologists,  alumni and now faculties of the same school.

The barangay health workers headed by Ms. Emily Avergonzado, a registered nurse/midwife were also present to show their full support to the program.

A substantial number of functionaries, staffs and residents availed to the free health care benefit and the Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella was overwhelmed on the turned out of beneficiaries. This is a continuing thrust by the Punong Barangay on his serious concern for the health welfare of his constituents. Sec. Red
