The Induction of Officers - senior citizens group of Fortune Exec. Homes, was recently held last September 4, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Senior Citizens’ Center, Fortune Executive Homes Plaza, Brgy. Vicente Hizon Sr., Davao City.

It all started with a prayer led by Temie Magada followed by the national anthem, the Barangay Hym  and Tayo ay Dabawenyo.

Sworn to office as President was Mr. Godofredo P. Balagtas and  Mrs. Fe Quimbo as Vice- President by the inducting officer, HON. ERICO R.TALILI the 1^st Kagawad and the Officer In Charge in the absence of Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella.

Others inducted to office were as follows;  Ms. Gloria D. Baco – Secretary, Ms. Gloria B. Farne – Asst. Secretary, Mr. Victorino Ymana – Treasurer, Mrs. Trinidad Dalagan – Asst. Treasurer, Mr. Lolito David – Auditor, Mr. Ernesto Barase PIO and Mr. Danilo Engracia – Business Manager.

All the 9 Officers were automatic members of the Board of Directors with the 6 additional members to complete the 15- Member Board namely; Mr. Temie Magada, Mr. Cenon Salcedo, Mr. Mildred Surigao, Mr. Salome Milabo, Mr. Reynaldo Mahinay and Ms. Linda Nicolas.

It was also attended by representatives from the City Social Services Development Offices (CSSDO) namely; Ms. Concepcion M. Tapongot-Family Case Worker of Vicente .Hizon Sr., Mariebel F. Pandapatan, Family Case Worker of Sasa, Dennis C. Villalobos – Focal Person for the Elderly. Ms. Azucena Bajao, OSCA Head, arrived in the middle of the program who also came from another induction program in Landmark III, Brgy. Sasa.

Right after the induction, the blessing of the Senior Citizen's Center (bldg.) immediately followed and officiated by Father Jun Acedo.

It was a party..party because the "sweet 60’s " numbering around 46, seems to be relishing their early childhood days.

To the senior citizens of Fortune Exec. Homes, "In youth the days are short and the years are long. In old age the years are short and day's long."
