Barangay Vicente Hizon Sr. in its effort to establish a fish sanctuary near Lizada Village finally started its initial moves by setting up the demarcation lines by dropping floating markers/buoys to delineate the prohibited area for fishing last May 8, 2012.

Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella, Kagawad Eufracio C. Uy, the Committee Chairman on Environment were at the forefront of the activity together with DENR personnel, BFARMC members and also the stakeholders were present.

Beneath the sea,  different species of corals could be found right under the delineated area which were already confirmed and documented by DENR  divers earlier this year (actual footage above).

The members of BFARMC will be responsible for guarding this area 24/7 to ensure that illegal fishing or other unwanted activities that could destroy the corals be completely prevented or abated. Sec RED
