Who’s not going to be thrilled when learning skills is to be done overlooking the majestic Mt. Apo and the highest mountain in the Philippines?

The Barangay Officials recently underwent a two-day skills enhancement training at Barangay Kapatagan, Davao del Sur last January 28 and 29, 2012 with Ms. Judy Aparece of DILG as resource speaker. Leading the participants was Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella with Kagawad Eric Talili, Kagawad Lor Capisos, Kagawad Leo Digal, Kagawad Pepe Manayon,  Kagawad Nene Santander, Kagawad Boy Uy , SK Chairperson Princess Quiban, Secretary Red Nartates and Treasurer Siony Patayon.

The group stayed at the vacation house owned by a family friend of the Punong Barangay and as morale booster, the better half of the Punong Barangay, City Councilor Marissa S. Abella was also around. The group enjoyed the first day and the overnight stay.

In the evening, there was a fellowship that everybody was delighted to the song renditions of Officials specially Kagawad Pepe Manayon who was the darling of the crowd.

On the second day the group headed to another adventure going to Camp Sabros Zip Line located across the neighboring mountain. It was a one hour hike from the vacation house, walking on a slippery and treacherous mountain trail but the group did not care about it because of the excitement waiting on the other side of the mountain.

Worth mentioning here is our heartfelt thanks to the owner of the vacation house specially to the very accommodating and polite caretakers who really made our stay comfortable and they even wished us back soon.  Thank you very much! 

Learning sessions when done under the atmosphere of excitement and enjoyment is indeed, a very refreshing and memorable experience that needs to be replicated whenever it is possible.   Sec Red
