BRGY. HIZON SR. CONDUCTS FREE “OPERATION TULI”

The barangay Vicente Hizon Sr. headed by Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella through the able leadership of chairman on health committee  Kagawad Erico Talili organized a free "Operation Tuli” to children of their constituents last May 1, 2011 Sunday 8:00 a.m. at the Barangay Health Center.

Conducting the said operation was a team-composed of volunteer doctors and nurses led by Dr. Jonathan Narisma and Dr. Lourriene Magada, both of Davao Medical School Foundation Hospital.

Assisting also was the wife of Dr. Narisma, Gemma Narisma a registered nurse from the same hospital.

Taking charge and responsibility for the 17 volunteer nurses was Ms. Alma Victoria G. LLoren participating in the operation from San Pedro Hospital-Community Extension Service  and also giving away free medicines such as mefenamic acid and amoxicillin capsules.

The barangay health  workers headed by nurse/midwife Ms. Emily Avergonzado were not to be left behind ‘coz they were in full support and as busy as ants.

Originally, the preparation was intended only for 50 children but the number exceeded by three or a total of 53 heads. Eight children were simultaneously circumcised at a time.

While the medical team was busy on their job, some parents were also busy consoling their children not to be afraid for this is the first step of manhood. Other anxious parents were waiting outside to see their children experienced the pain and joy of becoming a real gentleman.

The activity winded-up at around 2:00 p.m. but everybody was still in a cheerful mode even of a very taxing job.

The Punong Barangay Ralph O. Abella and Kagawad Erico Talili wished to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jonathan Narisma and Dr. Lourriene Magada and the DMSFH.

They were also equally thankful to the contingent from San Pedro Hospital–Community Extension Service for giving free services and medicines.

Thank you to all those who participated and making this a very successful activity.” Mabuhay tayong Lahat.” Sec Red
