  The Launching
of the Barangay Hizon Marine Fish Sanctuary was held last July 6, 2013 which
started at 2:00 p.m. with a short program such as acknowledgement of guests,
welcoming them and a slide presentation. The presentation dwell on the
motivation of the Barangay Council to replicate the success story of Apo Island,
Dumaguete, Negros Oriental.   It was highlighted by
the cutting of ribbon which was officiated by the Hon. City Councilor Marissa
S. Abella, the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture.
The guests were treated to a sumptous lechon which the members of the fisher folks themselves prepared just beside the venue of the program.
It was a day of fun because they both enjoy the meals and appreciate the presentation that they came to realize the importance of having a sanctuary. Sec Red | |
